A phishing link was recently uploaded to the Arbitrum Discord channel.
The attacker is asking the community to re-claim an additional stake.
Despite technical difficulties, the Arbitrum team was able to successfully complete the airdrop on March 23. Nevertheless, the team now has to deal with the consequences of hacks and thefts on the platform’s users. Arbitrum’s official Discord channel has been hacked, as reported by several prominent members of the crypto community.

A phishing link was recently uploaded to the Arbitrum Discord channel, and on March 25 the blockchain security CertiK tweeted a warning to the community. The company advises that until the Arbitrum team regains control of the server, no one should click on any links.

HideoutNFT’s creator, WickdNFT, claimed that an Arbitrum developer had been hacked and shared a phishing link with the server’s Discord users.

Luring Community to Re-claim Additional Stake
As certain claims were overlooked during the original token claim, ServerForge founder Plumferno said that the attacker is asking the community to re-claim an additional stake in Arbitrum DAO governance.

Even if the Arbitrum team has regained control, the compromised nature of their servers makes a repeat attack more likely. If the security measures were adequate, the Good Knight bot would not have allowed this to happen.

Yet, there are still security risks for Arbitrum users to worry about. For example, a hacker stole $500,000 worth of ARB tokens using compromised vanity addresses during the Arbitrum airdrop.

Nansen reports that more than 964 million Arbitrum (ARB) tokens, or 82% of the airdrop supply, have been claimed. Just 509,933 of the 625,143 possible addresses have been claimed. As of this writing, the ARB price has dropped 7% in the previous 24 hours, trading at $1.26.
