Crypto exchange Bybit has introduced a new feature that lets users trade major global stocks directly using USDT, skipping the need to convert to fiat currency. The feature is part of the platform’s Gold & Forex (MT5) suite and gives users access to 78 well-known stocks, all available as Contracts for Difference (CFDs).
Stocks like Apple, Tesla, Meta, Amazon, and Nvidia are now available for trading, along with many others from different sectors — tech, finance, energy, and more. What makes this update stand out is that users can use stablecoins like USDT instead of going through traditional banking channels.
Trading through CFDs means users don’t actually buy the stocks. Instead, they trade based on the price movements of the shares. This also means they can go long or short, depending on their market view. Bybit offers up to 5x leverage on these stock CFDs, giving traders more flexibility to manage their positions.
The trading is handled through the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform. Each listed stock comes with specific conditions — spread, swap info, and leverage limits — which are available inside the platform. Trading is available 24/5, and swap conditions vary depending on the stock. For example, American Airlines, Airbnb, and Robinhood come with a 3.33-day swap, while others like Boeing and HSBC are set at 5.
The full list includes names like Microsoft, Netflix, JPMorgan, Visa, Alibaba, Pfizer, PayPal, Oracle, Zoom, and Coinbase. There’s also exposure to popular Asian companies such as Toyota, Baidu, and NIO.
This move comes at a time when many crypto users are looking for easier ways to access traditional markets. Bybit’s latest feature is designed for exactly that — helping users move between crypto and global equities without needing a bank account or converting into fiat.
It’s also a signal that the exchange is looking to build more than just a crypto trading platform. With gold, forex, and now stocks available through the same dashboard, Bybit is positioning itself as a one-stop hub for all kinds of trading.
Stock CFDs are now live on Bybit for anyone with an account. More details, including trading hours and specifications, are available in the MT5 section of the platform.
