A PEPE token holder has lost a significant sum of cryptocurrency in a phishing attack that exploited Uniswap’s Permit2 feature. The scam, which occurred earlier today, resulted in the loss of $1.39 million worth of tokens, including PEPE, MSTR, and APU.

The stolen funds were quickly transferred to a new wallet address (0x3076ce666f707776aaf75f6c44f8c4085375a66f).

Permit2 is a feature that allows users to approve multiple tokens with a single signature. Unfortunately, this convenience can also be exploited by scammers. By tricking victims into signing a malicious contract, scammers can gain control of their wallets and drain them of their assets.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the risks associated with cryptocurrency scams. Users are urged to exercise extreme caution when signing transactions and to be wary of any unsolicited requests for approval.
