Bybit, the third-most visited cryptocurrency exchange globally, is collaborating with American University of Sharjah (AUS) to organize an inter-college hackathon that will enable students to build innovative AI and cryptocurrency models.
This project, known as the “CryptoAI BUILDER Challenge,” marks an important turning point in the collaboration between AUS and Bybit, which aims to promote Web3 development. Bybit is the major contributor to the AED 80,000 prize pool since it thinks that the adoption of cryptocurrencies will be greatly influenced by young people.
Bybit is dedicated to becoming the world’s Crypto Ark, providing a secure path to the promise of a decentralized financial system that is not governed by any central authority. Part of this dedication is the CryptoAI BUILDER Challenge. Numerous teams will compete throughout this event to provide cutting-edge technological solutions for problems including artificial intelligence, gaming, and blockchain security.
The enrollment session will start on September 29 and go through October 8. Students who are interested in participating are urged to visit the official event website to register and reserve their seat in this ground-breaking competition. The most promising ideas will be shortlisted by professional judges from October 9 to 13.
The hackathon will culminate in a live event, which is planned for Nov. 3–5 at AUS. Participants will get the chance to polish their concepts and showcase their finished prototypes to a renowned panel of judges over two rigorous days of live coding and interaction.
A number of side seminars will also be held during the hackathon to enhance the participants’ experience and provide insightful information. Delivered by Bybit professionals and leading thought leaders in the field, these seminars will cover a range of subjects relating to artificial intelligence and its applications in the crypto sector.
“The AUS-Bybit Hackathon is a strategic investment in the innovators of tomorrow,” said Ben Zhou, co-founder and CEO of Bybit. “We’re eager to see how the brilliant minds of today will leverage AI to push the boundaries of the crypto sector. Events like this are vital for nurturing the ideas that will shape blockchain’s role in advancing financial technology.”
“We’re excited to collaborate with Bybit for the CryptoAI BUILDER Challenge, offering UAE university students a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge technology.” said Dr. Imran Zualkernan, professor and head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at AUS. “By uniting top talent from across the nation, we aim to create an environment for exploring the synergy between AI and crypto, unleashing innovative potential. With support from Bybit, a leading name in the crypto space, participants will have access to valuable resources to shape the future of AI and crypto.”
