The Social media platform X, is flooding with viral videos of President Donald Trump hanging the Bitcoin Whitepaper.
In the video Trump is removing the curtain to show FOX news correspondent Sarah, the Bitcoin Whitepaper hanging on the Walls of the Oval Office at the White House.
In reality, the video is fake. What we have here is a doctored version of a Fox News segment from The Ingraham Angle, where Trump is showing Sarah the United States Declaration of Independence. It is not the Bitcoin whitepaper.
The claim originated when multiple X users started posting videos and screenshots of the Bitcoin Whitepaper in the Oval Office.
Now the question is how did such a controversial story gain traction? The answer is prominent Crypto handles couldn’t hold it in to share the video with cryptic posts.
Kraken, one of the leading crypto exchanges in the US, was one of them, as it posted the video with the caption “Wait, hollup… #btc white paper spotted at the Whitehouse!?”
The spread of this rumor highlights the challenges of combating misinformation in the cryptocurrency space, where fake news and manipulated media often amplify narratives.
