The feature applies to X users with over 100,000 followers and currently includes 950 addresses.
Blockchain analytics platform Arkham Intelligence has launched a new tagging system to track cryptocurrency transactions of high-profile figures. The “Key Opinion Leader” (KOL) tag applies to X influencers with over 100,000 followers. The feature aims to help users monitor the digital asset movements of major players in the crypto industry.
The platform announced the update on March 8 via a post on X. Arkham has already compiled over 950 wallet addresses from more than 1,000 entities. Among the identified figures are Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, crypto entrepreneur Justin Sun, and U.S. President Donald Trump. Others include Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, Yearn Finance co-founder Andre Cronje, and BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes.
Arkham has long provided insights into key figures’ transactions, revealing potential market trends. In January, it tracked Buterin’s liquidation of $2.5 million worth of meme coins sent to his wallet for his biotech charity, Kanro. In May 2024, it identified a Trump-linked wallet holding over $10 million in digital assets, mainly from MAGA and ETH tokens.
Under the KOL compilation, Justin Sun leads with nearly 4 million followers and three tracked wallets. One of his wallets holds over $590 million in digital assets, with $435 million in Tron (TRX). Buterin follows with around 5.7 million X followers and roughly $523 million in Ethereum.
Sun appears again on the list with two more wallets. These hold approximately $473 million and $44.20 million in crypto, respectively. Hong Qi Yu, the CEO of Tokenize Xchange, ranks next with over 723,000 followers and $28.31 million in holdings.
BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes is also listed, with 640,000 followers and $18.32 million in assets. Dinghua Xiao trails with $12.33 million in crypto and 235,000 X followers. Murad Mahmudov, or “Muststopmurad,” has 718,300 followers and $5.27 million in digital assets.
Arkham continues to refine its analytics tools for tracking wallet transactions. The KOL tag simplifies access to data on influential crypto figures. Users can now monitor key players and their holdings in real time.
