North Korea’S Kim Jong Un Is Working On Ai Sucidie Drone
Kim Jong Un, the supreme leader of North Korea, has recently supervised the testing of the artificial intelligence (AI)-based suicide drones, the latest horror tool in the North Korean armory, that is already a nuclear-powered state.
According to North Korea’s official news agency, Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim had personally overseen the testing of various kinds of reconnaissance and suicide drones produced by North Korea’s Unmanned Aerial Technology Complex.
According to KCNA, these drones are capable of tracking and monitoring different strategic targets and enemy troop activities on the ground and the sea. On the other hand, the attack drones will be used for various tactical attack missions. It also stated that both drone systems have been equipped with the emerging artificial intelligence.
KCNA also released some pictures from the tests. The pictures show attack drones striking down ground articles. Also seen in the pictures is Kim inspecting a newly developed unmanned aerial reconnaissance aircraft, which appeared to be larger than a fighter jet. He was also seen boarding an airborne early warning and control (AEW) aircraft.
North Korea began developing an AEW aircraft last year. Many analysts, by taking the help of satellite images, had reported that North Korea was converting a Russian-made Il-76 cargo aircraft into an early-warning role.
South Korea has frequently warned about the possible transfer of critical Russian military technology to North Korea.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said that Russia has provided North Korea with anti-air missiles and unspecified air defense equipment in return for Kim’s contribution of thousands of North Korean troops and weaponry to help Russia’s war with Ukraine.
It is also said that sending North Korean troops into the war has helped the dictatorial nation acquire useful combat experience and technology.
