Tether, the issuer of the world’s largest stablecoin USDT, plans to significantly expand its workforce. Aiming to reach approximately 200 employees by mid-2025, the company seeks to strengthen its compliance and finance departments.
CEO Paolo Ardoino expressed a preference for a lean organization but acknowledged the need for additional personnel to manage the company’s growth and increasing regulatory scrutiny. Despite generating substantial profits, Tether has faced criticism over the misuse of USDT, including its involvement in sanctions evasion.
