The world’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and leading blockchain ecosystem, Binance, is bringing a new dimension to the world of finance and fragrance with the launch of its premium perfume, CRYPTO. This innovative marketing campaign, which was organized by Binance’s female marketing professionals, is timed to coincide with International Women’s Day and is a part of Binance’s larger initiatives to increase the number of women involved in cryptocurrency and promote more diversity in the industry.
To generate attention and act as a teaser for the campaign, a series of opulent advertising debuted the CRYPTO scent. This tactic is modeled in beauty advertising standards and aims to subvert preconceived notions about cryptocurrency while also challenging the status quo.
A fresh video that was just published shows Binance pulling off another interaction when they put up a pop-up kiosk selling their new scent at a mall. This video switches from a teaser to dialogue. As the video makes evident, this apparently lighthearted action has a deeper purpose: it aims to directly involve the public in discussions about cryptocurrency perception while also using an unusual tool to encourage more women to explore this field.
Rachel Conlan, Chief Marketing Officer at Binance stated:
“Bold, distinctive, and deliberately disruptive, CRYPTO isn’t a scent we’re marketing — it’s a message to women that they have a significant role to play in the crypto revolution. Drawing from my own experience of working in the crypto industry, I’ve seen firsthand the invaluable contributions of the women who dared to step into this realm. We’re here to tell women everywhere: Don’t be a bystander. Break those glass ceilings, challenge existing narratives and become part of this digital transformation that’s set to redefine global finance.”
Encouraging more women to investigate and learn about the crypto space is a fundamental goal of the project. As an added bonus, Binance is going to provide $25 USDT Token Vouchers to each of the first 5,000 women who finish a beginner’s course on cryptocurrency on Binance Academy.
Binance is planning a number of regional gatherings in addition to social media and user-generated content campaigns in honor of International Women’s Day. All of these initiatives are meant to promote meaningful conversations regarding the growing significance of women’s roles in the cryptocurrency industry. They also want to increase awareness of the many ways in which cryptocurrencies may benefit women in their life, from job progression to financial empowerment, among other areas.
This program exemplifies Binance’s commitment to democratizing and diversifying the cryptocurrency space and complements the company’s other current initiatives to assist women worldwide.
Data company GWI conducted a survey that was included in the Digital 2024 Global Overview Report, and it revealed that women are still less likely than males to invest in cryptocurrencies across all age categories. The aforementioned discrepancy may be attributed to a number of factors, including enduring gender disparities in the financial industry, cultural biases, personal risk assessments, and a general belief that the cryptocurrency industry is mostly male-focused.
In her additional remarks, Rachel Conlan emphasized:
“Crypto is universal — it’s about empowering all individuals. It’s time to ensure no woman is left behind in this financial revolution. That is what we are committed to doing at Binance. Our commitment to inclusion extends beyond mere rhetoric; we’re not just talking the talk, but backing it up with solid action by providing women with the educational resources they need to shape their financial futures and become active participants in this digital economy.”
