Some wonder whether Satoshi really sent 27 Bitcoins worth more than $1 million.

Currently, there are 99.67 BTC, or over $4.3 million, in Satoshi’s wallet.

Only days after the cryptocurrency world commemorated the 15th anniversary of Satoshi Nakamoto mining the Bitcoin genesis block, the anonymous creator of the cryptocurrency, who goes by the nickname “Satoshi,” seems to be back. The wallet address which belongs to Satoshi Nakamoto, has recently received a 27 Bitcoin transfer.

On January 6, a transaction that would go down in history occurred when 27 Bitcoins had been sent to the wallet address of Satoshi Nakamoto.

The news quickly circulated among crypto enthusiasts, who were eagerly awaiting the reappearance of Satoshi Nakamoto, the person behind Bitcoin. Some wonder whether Satoshi really sent 27 Bitcoins (worth more than $1 million) to put Bitcoin’s popularity and development in the limelight, while others wonder if someone else did it.

50 bitcoins were added to Satoshi Nakamoto’s wallet address on January 3, 2009, when he mined the genesis block. Adding 26.91 BTCs to the wallet, the most recent transaction in block 824513 that occurred today is the second biggest in terms of amount. Currently, there are 99.67 BTC, or over $4.3 million, in Satoshi’s wallet.

All Eyes on SEC
It is quite probable that the U.S. SEC will approve the spot Bitcoin ETF next week, since the transaction occurred at the same time that the issuers updated the 19b-4 modifications.

James Seyffart, an ETF analyst for Bloomberg, notes that although these submissions do not ensure approval, they do mark a major step forward. It is anticipated that the SEC will approve spot Bitcoin ETFs on January 11, according to senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas, who said that the final S-1s are due on Monday.
