Bitcoin 2023 Miami conference registers only 50% of 2022 attendees.
In 2022, 35,000 people attended, while only 15,000 registered for 2023.
The crypto winter is believed to be one reason for the decline.

Thousands of individuals devoted to Bitcoin are converging on Miami Beach for the third consecutive year, as they attend an industry conference that boasts notable speakers such as U.S. presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy and author Michael Lewis.

Referred to as Bitcoin 2023, the conference is promoted by its organizers as the largest Bitcoin gathering worldwide. It kicks off on Thursday and concludes with an exclusive afterparty on Saturday night.

Attendees have the option to purchase a general admission ticket for $999 or an “Industry Pass” priced at $2,299, which includes exclusive access to the “Official Networking App.”

World’s largest Bitcoin conference had 35,000 attendees in 2022
According to the conference website, last year’s event attracted more than 35,000 attendees. The lineup of speakers featured prominent figures such as tennis legend Serena Williams, controversial psychologist Jordan Peterson, and MicroStrategy (MSTR) co-founder Michael Saylor.

However, this year’s conference website indicates that approximately 15,000 devotees of BTC are expected to attend, which is less than half the number from the previous year. This decline in attendance is likely attributed to the ongoing “crypto winter” phase experienced by the cryptocurrency market.

Nevertheless, attendees can still look forward to listening to notable speakers such as U.S. presidential candidates Kennedy and Vivek Ramaswamy, author Michael Lewis, and U.S. Representative Patrick McHenry, who heads the House Financial Services Committee as a North Carolina Republican.
