Gucci and Yuga Labs have collaborated to introduce a luxury digital fashion
For the Gucci Grail line, Yuga Labs and Gucci previously collaborated.
Last week, Gucci, the fashion company, announced that it was collaborating with Yuga Labs, the firm that created the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection, to introduce high-end digital fashion to the metaverse. Now, the result of that cooperation is beginning to emerge.
Gucci tweeted:
Those eligible to purchase can do so on Thursday, April 6.
The promised ape-themed metaverse game Otherside by Yuga will include Otherside: Relics by Gucci. Its an exclusive collection of physical Gucci products and related NFTs. Prior collaborations between Gucci and Yuga Labs included the Gucci Grail line. That featured designs by Wagmi-San, the designer of 10KTF.
As per reports the company acquired an undisclosed quantity of land in the metaverse game The Sandbox. That was in February 2022 to test out ideas for hosting virtual experiences. To join the decentralized independent organization and launch a digital art vault, Gucci invested $25,000 in native tokens of NFT marketplace SuperRare.
A limited edition NFT-backed series of 250 gold, ruby, and diamond necklaces, each fashioned in the image of buyers’ particular CryptoPunk NFT avatars, were produced last year. It was through the partnership between Yuga-owned CryptoPunks and the upscale jewelry brand Tiffany’s.
