The Lightning Network makes Bitcoin transactions faster and cheaper.
Coinbase’s CEO gives a hint on integrating the Bitcoin Lighting Network.
After the long silence, Coinbase co-founder and CEO Brain Armstrong brings an update about the Bitcoin Lightning Network to Coinbase.
On Twitter, Brain Armstrong replied to the tweet “Brain Armstrong is actively ignoring the Bitcoin Lightning Network.” He replied that lightning is great and something we will integrate. His answers indicate that the upgrade may arrive soon on Coinbase.
The lighting network allows users to send or receive Bitcoin much faster and cheaper by moving the transaction off the main blockchain. The network specially designed to make Bitcoin transactions as fast and cheap as possible.
The lightning network was invented to make Bitcoin easier to use as a digital currency. The network uses a smart contract for off-blockchain payments between the two users. When the channels are established, bitcoin can be transferred instantly between them.
The Bitcoin Lightning Network inclusion started taking off among the worldwide crypto exchanges. However, some of the largest crypto exchanges are not in a hurry to integrate the protocol. After keeping silent for a long time, Coinbase finally showed interest in including the protocol.
