The National Basketball Association (NBA) has reached an agreement to stream certain games in the metaverse for free. The firm extended its existing collaboration with Meta on January 23 to continue broadcasting its games utilizing VR (virtual reality) technology. Moreover, Meta’s consumer headgear, the Meta Quest 2, will be utilized to broadcast the games utilizing Xtadium, a metaverse app used to stream immersive sports events.

Mark is banking on the Metaverse and is willing to shell out billions. And this recent extension is a boost for the company and its vision for Metaverse.
